Begin with purpose.

As I watch you step into this new year, I notice something beautiful: the hope in your eyes, the possibility dancing in your heart. You're standing at the threshold of 365 blank pages, and I can feel your intention to make this year different, meaningful, and transformative.

Here's what I've learned from greeting every single morning with the same enthusiasm: beginnings aren't about grand gestures or perfect plans. They're about purpose.

When I wake up each day, I don't just exist, I live with clear intention. My purpose is simple: to love you, to protect our home, to find joy in each moment, to be fully present to whatever this day brings. I don't need a complicated strategy. I just need to know my "why."

You're making resolutions right now, lists of things to do, habits to change, goals to achieve. I wonder: have you identified your purpose beneath all those goals? What's the deeper "why" driving your desire for change?

Purpose isn't about doing more. It's about being intentional with what you do. It's the difference between running frantically in every direction and moving steadily toward something that matters to your soul.

I don't chase every squirrel I see, only the ones worth the energy. I've learned to filter my actions through my purpose, and it makes everything clearer, simpler, more meaningful.

As you begin this year, get quiet for a moment. Beneath all the goals and resolutions, what's calling to your heart? What kind of person do you want to become? How do you want to feel when you lay your head down each night?

Your purpose might be to show up more fully for the people you love. To honor your body and spirit with better care. To create space for joy and wonder. To heal old wounds so you can move forward lighter. To become braver, kinder, more authentic.

Whatever it is, let that purpose guide your year. Let it be the compass that keeps you oriented when life gets chaotic or overwhelming.
