I used to bark at every delivery truck that passed our house. Every single one. Same trigger, same response, same outcome. Until one day, I chose differently. I heard the truck, felt the urge to bark, and instead I stayed quiet. The pattern broke.
You have patterns too, and not all of them serve you anymore. The way you respond to stress. How you handle conflict. Your morning routine that leaves you rushed. The relationships you keep returning to even though they drain you. The thoughts you think on repeat.
Patterns feel safe because they're familiar. Your brain loves the efficiency of autopilot. But familiar isn't always healthy, and comfortable isn't always good for you.
Breaking a pattern doesn't require dramatic action. It just requires one different choice. One moment where you feel the old urge and choose a new response.
I still hear the trucks. The impulse to bark still rises. But now there's a space between the trigger and my response, and in that space lives my power to choose differently.
You have that same space, even when it doesn't feel like it. Between the email that frustrates you and your reaction. Between the craving and the choice. Between the old story and a new possibility.
This month is about awakening energy, and nothing awakens energy faster than breaking a pattern that's been keeping you stuck. The moment you choose differently, you prove to yourself that change is possible.
