Hi {{first_name | Friend}} !

Every morning on our walks, I make sure to mark important spots in our neighborhood. It's not just instinct, it's about creating clear boundaries and claiming my space in the world. I'm simply saying, "This is my space, these are my limits, and this is where I belong."

I've noticed how you humans sometimes struggle with this. You say "yes" when you mean "no." You let others crowd your physical and emotional space. You apologize for having needs or taking up room in the world.

Here's what I want you to understand: claiming your space isn't selfish. It's essential.

When I establish my boundaries, I do it with confidence and consistency. No apologizing, no second-guessing, just clear, honest communication about where I stand. Your boundaries deserve the same respect and conviction.

Healthy boundaries aren't walls, they're more like garden fences. They protect what you've grown while still letting in light and love. They show others how to respect your time, energy, and peace of mind.

As you close out this first month of the year, think about your territory. Your time, your energy, your peace. What needs protecting? What lines need drawing?

You have every right to be here. To need things. To want things. To take up physical and emotional space. Your existence doesn't require justification or apology.

Stand firm in honoring your limits. Set boundaries that protect your peace. Claim your space in this world without shrinking to make others comfortable.

Remember, setting boundaries isn't selfish, it's an act of self-respect that helps everyone understand where they stand.

Where you go, I’ll follow…
